At Gulf Stream Boat Club we want to ensure all our members feel confident and comfortable on the water. Every new GBC member receives a personalized orientation designed to match their boating experience and comfort level.

These sessions emphasize essential boating skills such as safety protocols, navigation techniques, and practical procedures, ensuring members feel prepared and confident on the water!

GBC orientation

Let’s go over what your orientation will look like:

Orientation Overview

Boat Introduction: Our team will guide you through a tour of the vessel, pointing out the locations of safety equipment like life jackets and fire extinguishers.

Navigational Practice: Members will follow a route determined by their home club location, where they practice different skills out on the water.

Duration: Orientation will last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your ability and boating knowledge.

Daily Boat Club Procedures

In your orientation, you'll learn where to park in our lot, how to use dock carts for loading gear, and receive destination suggestions. Weather and safety briefings will be included as well. We'll also discuss how to ensure a smooth return after your day on the water concludes.
