Florida’s stunning waterways and oceans are among the most beautiful in the world! As boaters, we have a responsibility to protect them.

At Gulf Stream Boat Club, we encourage all members to practice eco-friendly boating to help preserve our local marine ecosystems for future generations to enjoy.
Here are our eco-friendly boating tips:
Use Eco-Friendly Products
Minimize your environmental impact by choosing sustainable products when out on the water:
Wear reef-safe sunscreen to protect marine life from possible harmful chemicals.
Reduce waste by reusing water bottles and containers instead of relying on single-use plastics.
Responsible Boating Practices
How you operate a boat can make a big difference in protecting Florida’s delicate marine habitats:
Adhere to no-wake zones where protected wildlife may be.
Practice sustainable fishing by following local regulations, and releasing undersize or protected species.
Reduce fuel consumption by maintaining steady speeds, avoiding unnecessary idling, and using fuel-efficient boating practices.
Keep your distance from any animals you see in the water or along the shoreline—this is their home, we're just visiting!
Thanks to our dedicated maintenance team, all our fleets’ engines are kept in top condition, helping improve fuel efficiency and minimize emissions.
Reduce Waste and Recycle
Simple actions can help keep Florida’s waterways clean:
Dispose of trash properly and never throw anything overboard.
Recycle cans, bottles, and other materials whenever possible.
Pick up and litter you see while out, it makes a big difference!
Don't forget that we'll take out the trash! Anything you leave onboard we will dispose of.
By following these eco-friendly boating tips, we can all do our part to protect Florida’s beautiful waters. Let’s work together to ensure all can enjoy these pristine waterways.
